About Lisa

Graduating from William Woods University in 1998 with a B.S. in Equestrian Science, Lisa began working at Glen Valley Farm in Oshkosh, WI, where she put her expertise into practice with her first lesson program. In early 2000 she relocated to Parker, Colorado, reopening her business as Premier Riding School. Her niche riding program focused on riding psychology and building new riders from their first ride to national level competition.

In 2013, Lisa embarked on a new chapter in her teaching career when she became a PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.

Lisa's Teaching Philosophy

Horses taught me so much as a kid, says Lisa, I want to give that back to other people, especially children, through riding instruction. The most important part of Lisa's teaching philosophy is helping students feel safe enough to be able to enjoy their experience on a horse.

There is nothing quite like seeing the connection come alive between a rider and a horse, says Lisa, each communicating their own personalities to the other and truly enjoying the experience.

You've got to love horses, love people and love yourself. I have to love me before I can love you. Riding teachers need love too!
